Fourteen-Year-Old Killed While Crossing The Street

Greenville police say a 14-year-old middle school student was killed after being struck by a car while crossing Greenville Boulevard Monday afternoon. According to Greenville police, Leslie Hill, an E.B. Aycock Middle school student, was crossing the boulevard with friends at Fairview Lane around 4:15 when she was struck by a four door Chrysler. Lawmen say C.P.R. was performed and Hill was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The department's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the case and asking anyone with further information to contact Sergeant Worthington at 252-329-4597.
