Kidfest Helps Families Have Fun

Video will be available shortly.

Kids and family were the focus of an event in Greenville that's gaining in popularity and size.

It was the Fourth Annual Kidfest held at the Convention Center in Greenville Saturday. The free event is a way to educate kids, and parents, while at the same time provide a number of different ways to have fun in hopes of strengthening the family bond. There was face painting, horseback riding, balloon animals, puppets, basketball, and story telling. Organizers say the festival is so popular it nearly doubled in size, from 45 vendors last year, to over 88 this year.

Over 1,000 kids were at the Kidfest, bringing their parents along for the fun. The event is put on every year by the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children, The Daily Reflector, and Greenville Parks and Recreation.
