Around 6:30 Thursday afternoon, 80 year old Maggie Lee was reported missing to Beaufort county Authorities. Several agencies, along with civilian volunteers joined the sheriff's department in the search of Lee. They knocked on doors through out the area asking neighbors if anyone had seen Lee. Large groups of people combed wooded areas, streets and any other place Lee could have wondered off. She had been last seen with her dog when she went missing. Authorities say they started calling her name and thought they heard something. When they called Lee again, she responded and emerged from a tree line near the area she had last been seen. Authorities immediately had her transported to Beaufort County Hospital in Washington. They say she appeared in fairly good condition. Lee suffers from dementia, but authorities don't know if that contributed to her disappearance.
