East Carolina University received a major birthday gift for its founders day week long celebration. BB&T Bank Corporation gave $1,000,000. Its meant for the BB&T Leadership Center located on campus. The bank corporation started the center back in 1982, and since then the corporation has given $1,850,000 to the university. The center is designed to foster and teach leadership to students for not only the workplace, but for everyday life.
