Along with Mondays rain, motorists in Pitt County will have to deal with even more delays as Department of Transportation officials close a major state road there.
Transportation workers will close Maye Turnage Road causing an almost 5 mile detour. Workers will shut down the road to replace a pipe line. Drivers can expect the delays during business hours from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
