$1.4-Million Helps Bring 350 Jobs To Halifax County

Halifax County has been given a $1.4 million investment award, according to Democratic Congressman G.K. Butterfield, for a state-of-the-art lumber processing facility owned and operated by Klausner Lumber Two.

The facility will be located in the Town of Enfield.

The award was made possible by the Economic Development Administration, which is a bureau within the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Klausner has committed to invest $110 million toward the project that will bring 350 direct jobs to Enfield and Halifax County over the next three years.

The Enfield mill will use state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies to produce construction quality lumber and structural timber for domestic and world markets.
