Thursday marked a big kickoff for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The Eastern Carolina chapter celebrated the beginning of raising money for the annual walk.
The walk, held at the Greenville Convention center on March 15th this year is slated to raise two hundred thousand dollars. But it can't be done without your help. The foundation is working to get everyone involved to help find a cure for diabetes, a disease that affects millions of Americans. Every 30 seconds there is a new diagnosis.
Over 85 percent of all monies raised goes to fund research. Visit www.jdrf.org for information on how you can get involved.
