The former Durham assistant district attorney who lost her job when Mike Nifong dismissed her says she will announce next month that she's running a second time for district attorney.
Freda Black said Wednesday she will hold a news conference February 1st at the Durham County courthouse to announce she's running for district attorney.
Black was dismissed by Nifong in 2005. Nifong then defeated her in the May 2006 Democratic primary. Nifong has since been disbarred for more than two dozen violations of the North Carolina State Bar's rules of professional conduct for his handling of the Duke University lacrosse case. He filed for bankruptcy this week.
