Taliban say they will attack restaurants favored by foreigners

A new threat from the Taliban has American and European workers thinking twice about where they eat in the Afghan capital.

The Taliban says its suicide bombers will attack restaurants
frequented by Westerners in Kabul, which has about a half-dozen
restaurants popular with Westerners.

Afghanistan's intelligence chief is linking Monday's deadly
attack on Kabul's Serena Hotel to a Pakistani militant. Afghan
officials have arrested four people, saying they included one of
the three attackers, who was disguised in a police uniform.

The death toll in the bombing and shooting attack on the hotel
has risen to eight. An American, a Norwegian journalist and a
Filipina who died of her wounds today were among those killed.
