Police End Up Chasing Deadbeat Dad

A deadbeat dad gives chase while authorities try to serve an arrest warrant in Washington Friday morning. Washington police say Beaufort County resident Paris Wallace was wanted for unpaid child support. Authorities say they spotted Wallace just after 8 a.m. at the corner of 5th and Tarboro Streets in Washington. Lawmen say when they approached Wallace, he ran. Police chased Wallace on foot for at least two to three blocks, when they finally caught him and arrested him. Wallace now faces even more charges. Believe it or not, authorities say it's not uncommon for people wanted for unpaid child support to run from lawmen when a warrant is served.
