Special Olympics Getting Ready to Kick Off This Weekend

"March Madness" is alive and well in Greenville, as athletes from across the state hit the hardwood this weekend for the 2005 Special Olympics Basketball tournament.

Volunteers began early Friday morning getting Minges Coliseum ready for Friday night's opening ceremony. This weekend's tournament is expected to draw over 1000 coaches, athletes and family members from all over North Carolina.

Tournament games begin Saturday morning at several area schools.
