Car under water. That was the scene in Pitt County early Thursday afternoon. Officials say a driver lost control, hydroplaned and veered into Fork Swamp Creek off Worthington Road. Trooper Randy Cummings says Bonita Annette Chapman and Sandra Chapman, both of Greenville, walked away from the accident uninjured. Cummings says the driver will be charged with exceeding a safe speed for the road conditions.
