Edwards Congratulates Obama On Kerry Endorsement

Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards says he's known for months that his former running mate, John Kerry, would endorse Barack Obama.

Edwards graciously congratulated his opponent tonight as he visited a food bank in North Charleston.

Edwards says Kerry is a terrific person and would have made a great president, and that's why Edwards says he worked hard while running with Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.

Edwards said that most voters will decide on their own who to vote for.

Dressed in a beige shirt and blue jeans, Edwards helped spent about 45 minutes at the Lowcountry Food Bank, a few miles from the College of Charleston where Kerry had appeared with Obama earlier in the day.
