Plea Agreement Accepted

It's finally over, but it didn't end the way the family had hoped. The man accused of killing Candie Belcher two years ago, Mohymen Munnelyn, was sentenced to the maximum penalty of just over 11 years in prison. The charge against him was originally murder in the case, but was reduced to voluntary manslaugher. Candie's family spoke at the plea hearing in Plymouth Wednesday evening. The family was upset that a plea agreement was even offered. But the district attorney in the case, Seth Edwards, said this was the best option. The family would not comment on the possibility of a civil case involving Munnelyn.
