John Edwards has returned to his home turf.
Edwards arrived yesterday in South Carolina, where he was born and where he won the Democratic presidential primary in 2004.
The former North Carolina senator is hoping for another win here, or a strong second, to reboot his campaign. He finished second in the Iowa caucuses and third in the New Hampshire primary.
South Carolina holds its Democratic primary on January 26th.
Edwards addressed several hundred students at Clemson University yesterday, pitching himself as a native son. He reminded the crowd of his roots, saying he knew what their lives were like. He made similar references two more times during the speech and then again at a news conference.
