Kids Left Alone Die in Fire

Craven County authorities are trying to determine what led to a fire that claimed the lives of two kids early Monday morning.

Craven County Fire Marshal Stanley Kite says the kids, six-year-old Wayne Ramsey and nine-year-old Jasmine Ramsey, were left alone when their mother went to a store around 4:00 a.m. When she returned the home at lot three of the Homecrest Mobile Home Park near Thurman Road was on fire.

Authorities have not determined a cause.
