Kinston's Charter Academy, open less than a year, is already preparing for growth next year. School officials say more and more parents are expressing interest in what charter schools provide that's not available at traditional public schools. North Carolina already has 98 charter schools with two more on the way. Kinston Charter Academy officials say they'll add more kindergarten classes and a seventh grade next fall.
