Republican Steve Troxler wants people in Carteret County who voted for him and whose ballots were lost in a machine glitch to sign affidavits. It's part of a plan to show the courts that he would have won the November election for agriculture commissioner over Democrat Britt Cobb had the 4,400 lost votes been counted. The State Elections Board has decided to call for a new statewide election.
