Some Pitt Inmates Now Monitored Electronically

Several Pitt County inmates are being released into an electronic offender monitoring program. With the help of a global positioning system, inmates will have their movements monitored 24-hours a day.

Typically to house an inmate at the detention center costs about $51.00 a day. This new method will cost under $6.00 a day.
