The latest unemployment figures are out for Eastern Carolina. According to the Employment Security Commission, unemployment dropped slightly in Craven, Greene, and Northampton Counties in November. Gates and Pamlico Counties were unchanged. Twenty-three other counties, including Hyde, Washington, Pitt and Beaufort saw unemployment rise in November. Experts attribute the unemployment rates to the holiday season, saying it's temporary.
