American Red Cross Accepting Monetary Donations for Quake Victims

The death toll from last Sunday's deadly tsunami in Southeast Asia has already topped 115,000. As foreign aid continues to pour in, the American Red Cross has started to accept monetary donations to help with victim relief.

Local chapters nationwide, including the Pitt County chapter, will only accept checks which will be sent to the national headquarters and then off to the affected areas. In the memo section of your check, write the words "tsunami victims." That way the checks will only be used for this disaster.
