‘Tis the season of giving, but many of you are hoping to get a little back as well come tax season. Donations are pouring into local non-profit groups as the countdown to the end of the year comes closer. When 2004 ends, so does your chance to contribute for this year in hopes of getting a bigger tax refund.
Tax officials say that being a big contributor can sometimes equate to getting a bigger tax check from Uncle Sam. However, accountants advise that if you do make a donation, make sure you get a receipt and have everything accounted for.
