A new statewide election will be held to settle the Agriculture Commissioner race between Republican Steve Troxler and Democrat Britt Cobb.
The decision was made Wednesday by the State Board of Elections. Cobb has said the entire state should get a chance to vote again. However, Troxler wanted a new vote only for the people in Carteret County where more than 4,000 ballots were lost.
Troxler says he'll probably appeal the board's decision.
