She may be legally blind, but that didn't stop one Beaufort County teacher from fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Sharon Tyer is a exceptional children's teacher at Aurora Middle School. Tyer says she wants her students to understand that overcoming obstacles in life and following your dreams will allow you to become what you want in the future.
Tyer says her first full year as a teacher has been very challenging, but also a wonderful experience.
