Whether it was a snowfall, tornadoes or hurricanes, Eastern Carolina had its share of weather woes in 2004.

The year began with two snowstorms in January followed by another wintry blast in February.

The months of April, May and June were quiet.

Hurricane season 2004 came in strong with Bonnie, followed by Hurricane Charley just a few days later. Then it was Alex, floods from Frances and damage from Ivan, which spelled disaster for many parts of Eastern Carolina.

Flooding, emergency evacuations and millions of dollars in damage were just some of the stories to come out of this year's hurricane season.

September, October and November were quiet. But December has proven to be quite a month, bringing in two snow storms, and the month isn't over yet.
