Money to Help Hungry and Homeless

Eastern Carolina is getting more than $600,000 to feed and shelter the hungry and homeless in 2005.

The money is coming from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The top recipients in the east are Edgecombe and Nash counties, with a combined total of $107,000, Pitt County with $85,000, and Wayne County with $50,000.
