Grateful Family Gives Back to the Hospital

One family from Eastern Carolina is giving back after a personal experience with the Ronald McDonald House and Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The Stanley family knows firsthand the importance of the neonatal intensive care unit or at the hospital. Last year at this time, their daughter Marianna spent Christmas there because of a stroke. The family stayed at the Ronald McDonald house. In the spirit of giving back, the Stanley family donated Christmas stockings to the babies in the neonatal unit. They also made a cash donation of $800 to the Ronald McDonald House.

While the stroke left Marianna blind, she did recover and is doing well. Stanley said he and his wife plan to make the fund-raising project an annual event.
