Would Be Robber Gets More Than She Bargained For

A woman tried to hold up a local landmark in Onslow County last night and was chased out of the shop. Onslow sheriffs say 22-year-old Tabitha Trader walked into Sweeting's Store, a 50-year-old landmark in Bear Creek, East of Jacksonville. Police say Trader had her hand in her coat pocket and told the clerk, Ashley Cobb, that she wanted all the money in the cash register. But, she didn't count on the five-month pregnant clerk having some backup in the store, her husband, Matt. Matt Cobb chased Trader for more than a mile in his car before deputies caught her.
