There are two very important lifesaving skills all parents and caregivers of small children should know, CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver.
Medical experts say each year thousands of young children die because their parents don't know how to perform these easy to learn procedures. To get the message out, instructors at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston offer free classes on both procedures.
