The 15 day-old victim of a suspected case of severe child abuse remains in serious condition at Pitt Memorial hospital with brain hemorrhaging and dislocated ribs.

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged the child's father, 22 year-old Paul Buckley Junior of Sneads Ferry, with felony child abuse.

Deputies first responded to Onslow Memorial hospital on December 26th where they found the infant with bruises on his face, and a broken left arm.

Investigators said the parents told them the child fell onto the floor while Buckley was changing it's diapers.

Buckley is in jail under a $100,000 bond.

This story breaks my heart. Please, everyone, pray for this little infant & pray that he/ she will be removed from this home. I agree with the other post...if this man did this he should rot in jail forever!

I am outraged by Hood Richardson's idea to cut the spanish speaking options from the county offices to save tax payers money. But I am sickened by his association of illegal immigrants and hispanic people. If he wants to save money that bad, taxpayers should cut his salary.Taxpayers' money are wasted in far worse ways.

It's a shame that some people who want children and who would give them a loving home can't have them while people that should never breed pop them out like candy and then do something like this. If he did this, he should rot in jail!

The baby fell to the floor while changing a diaper? Come on. A 15 day old baby does not have much movement, let alone enough to fall off of a changing table or something while an adult is standing there changing the diaper.
