Rocky Mount Man Dies in Fire

Nash County fire officials say an elderly man died in a house fire on Bethlehem Road in Rocky Mount Monday morning.

A passerby noticed smoke coming from the home about 7:30 am.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. Officials say they are not releasing his identification or a cause at this time.
