Celebrating the Wright Stuff Again

What does Kitty Hawk have in common with a city in France?

The answer is flight. French citizens from the city of Le Mans want to create a celebration like the one held on the Outer Banks in December 2003, which marked the 100th year since the first powered flight. Turns out five years after Orville and Wilbur Wright flew in North Carolina, they staged a similar flight in France.

That's why folks from Le Mans want to have a 100th anniversary celebration in 2008. Folks from the French town visited the Outer Banks last week, and have agreed to establish a sister-city relationship with Kitty Hawk.
