Authorities say a North Carolina man died this morning after he was hit by a car on Interstate 95 in Florence County.
The Florence County coroner's office has identified the man as 68-year-old William H. Stewart of Hope Mills, North Carolina.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Sonny Collins says Stewart had left his car parked on the shoulder of the interstate.
Authorities say Stewart was walking in the southbound lane when he was struck by a 2003 Toyota.
Two passengers inside the car were taken to a hospital in Florence.
