A Silver Alert for a missing woman has been canceled this morning around 10:20 a.m.
State authorities say 82 year old Ruby Kennedy returned home safely.
The Hope Mills woman was last seen Christmas day around 3:30 p.m. The Silver Alert was issued because authorities believed she was suffering from dementia or some other age-related impairment.
This is the second Silver Alert issued since the system was set up last week. In the first case, a missing Nash County elderly man was found dead in his car on Saturday.
