Five Suspects Arrested In Indian Trail Couple's Shooting Deaths

Five people have been arrested in connection with a double murder that left an Indian Trail couple dead earlier this month.

Authorities said the alleged assailants may have been trying to steal $800,000 worth of cocaine from the house.

Maria Elvira Celedon and Carlos Armando Arteaga DelAngel were found shot to death at their mobile home on Dec. 1.

In addition to the dead couple, law enforcement agents found eight kilograms of cocaine and $45,000 in cash at the house.

A 37-year-old sister of one of the victims and the couple's two children were also in the house, but were unharmed.

All five suspects in the slayings are charged with two counts of first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, injury to personal property and discharging a firearm into occupied property.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 6.
