It seems the cost of everything is going up these days. That includes dying. The Lenoir County town of LaGrange is proposing to increase the price of burial plots in the town's only cemetery. Town leaders say they can no longer afford the current and future costs of perpetual care. The increase calls for an extra $200.00 for LaGrange residents, and $250.00 for out of towners. The Fairview Cemetery is one of the oldest municipal cemeteries in Lenoir County dating back to the early 1800s.
