The discovery of two bodies in Rocky Mount hits close to home for police, one of the victims is a police department secretary.
Police made the terrible discovery this morning---two shot to death and another critically injured.
It happened around 9:45 a.m. on Compass Creek drive.
Leona Johnson, age 50, and Deborah Scriven, age 44, both who lived there, were discovered dead when officers arrived.
The third victim, Devin Scriven, age 21, a son of Deborah Scriven, is in critical, but stable condition after being airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital
Johnson was a secretary in the police department's Uniform Operations Division.
Police say they became concerned when Johnson failed to show up for work today. They sent officers out and found the rear door had been smashed.
Police say they do not believe this to be a random act. While they have no suspects, they are following several leads.
