Pharmaceutical Firms To Create 205 Jobs

A clinical-stage pharmaceutical firm and its spin-off company will invest 23 million dollars in High Point and create 205 jobs over the next five years.

Governor Mike Easley says TransTech Pharma will add 155 jobs and PharmaCore will bring 55 new positions. The jobs vary by function but average a $96,000 annual salary.

TransTech focuses on discovering, developing and commercializing drugs for central nervous system disorders, cancer and other diseases. PharmaCore provides manufacturing and other chemistry services for drug discovery programs.
