Domestic Violence Rises Around Christmastime

The holiday season is often synonymous with gift giving and time spent with family, but tragically for some it be a time of increased pain.

As of the last 6 weeks, folks at the Carteret County domestic violence program have seen a steady increase in clientele. They receive on average 55 crisis calls a month, and even more during the holidays, they believe due to financial and emotional stresses. Clerks at Caroline's Collectibles in Morehead City are hoping you can help the victims this holiday season, by shopping to stop domestic violence. You can donate clothes, furniture or household items all of which will go to women who are finally starting a new life on their own. But there are still many more in need.

Right now Caroline's Collectibles is in desperate need of furniture, and other household items.
