Beaufort County Church Encouraged By Arsonist Pleading Guilty In Pitt County

By  |

In light of the recent guilty plea from a Greenville church arsonist, members of Mount Olive Pentecostal Faith Church in Belhaven, Beaufort county say they have a ray of hope.

Police say their church was set on fire in late August. It's believed to be an arson as well. Amos Wilson who's been a pastor at the church for about 7 years says his church is more than just a building and that it's a family. Church members say they're not letting what happened in August hold them back.

Church members are temporarily meeting at the Boyette Civic Center in Belhaven. Plans for a new building are in the works. The old building is scheduled to be demolished by the end of the month.
