Martin County historians fear a piece of their history may soon be gone.
The Asa Biggs portrait, which has hung inside the Biggs home since the late 1970's, will be sent to the federal court house in New Bern this week due to a recent federal ruling. Historians expect the portrait to be moved this Wednesday.
