East Carolina coach Skip Holtz says this year's Pirates aren't satisfied with just getting to a bowl game.
That was the case last year, when the Pirates returned to the post season for the first time in five years. But East Carolina lost to South Florida 24-to-7 in the Papa-John's-dot-com Bowl. Now Holtz says his players want to take the next step when they face Boise State in the Hawaii Bowl on December 23rd.
Holtz says he wants his players to treat the bowl game like a business trip, so much so that he plans to take them directly to Aloha Stadium when they arrive in Hawaii.
The Pirates' seven victories this year are the most for the program since 2000.
