Former Kinston High School football coach Ronnie Baker was in court Thursday to answer charges filed against him. The charges he faced were assault on a female, sexual battery and false imprisonment. Baker was arrested in November and is accused of committing these acts against a 30-year-old female employee at Kinston High School. Thursday in court, Baker pled guilty to assault on a female as part of a plea agreement. In exchange, the District Attorney, with the victim's consent, dropped the other two charges and was sentenced to unsupervised probation with a 60 day suspended jail term.
