One fox has already tested positive for rabies. Authorities are awaiting results on a second one, both shot and killed by police. The incidents happened Tuesday and Wednesday, just blocks away from each other in Kinston. The first rabid fox bit someone. Test results on the second should be available Thursday. The resident who was bitten by the rabid fox is undergoing a series of shots and is reported to be in stable condition.
