Boat Show Helps With Scholarships

It was a gorgeous day to be out on the water, and one show can give you the means to get out there.

Its the 7th Annual Down East Boat Show, put on by Pitt Community College, and WITN 7 is also happy to be a sponsor of the event. Day two kicked off at 10 a.m. at the Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center in Williamston in Martin County Saturday morning, and the weather certainly helped in getting people to the show. Organizers were hoping for over 2,000 visitors Saturday to come through the double doors, and many more this weekend. All proceeds raised will fund scholarships at the college.

If you missed the show Saturday, all 60 lines of boats will be on hand Sunday as well. Doors open at 10 and close at 5 Sunday evening.
