Harvesting Future Trees

How'd they do that? Have you ever wondered how some trees get from farms to the local nursery? Even though it's the dead of Winter, these pine seedlings are ready to be picked.

Each year about this time, the Weyerhaeuser nursery in Washington harvests thousands of pine seedlings to be shipped all over the East coast. The tiny trees are removed from the ground by a lifter and then brought into the factory where they are wrapped, boxed and placed in cold storage.

The Weyerhaeuser nursery harvests pine seedlings one million at a time.
