Washington Shines at Knowledge Bowl

It was a Knowledge Bowl for the books in Beaufort County this weekend!

Students, and lovers of history, gathered for the 2005 Eastern Public Library Quiz Bow, testing their knowledge of current events, and the history of our world. The bowl which has been in motion annually since 1968 drew students from 7 high schools across several counties, to show that some kids do have a true passion for obtaining and sharing knowledge.

But the quiz bowl wasn't just for kicks, the winning school which was Washington High School, walked away with a plaque as the local winners. They'll go onto represent their school in a district bowl this coming March in Wilson. The State Library Quiz Bowl is in April at UNC Chapel Hill.
