New Pitt Clerk Of Court Sworn In

Pitt County's newest clerk of court was sworn in Monday in front of a crowd of several hundred people, including county attorneys, judges and elected officials.

Farmville native, Sara Beth Rhodes, was appointed by Judge W. Russell Duke Jr. and took her oath along with 48 deputy and assistant clerks.

Rhodes replaces Eleanor Farr who retired after serving eight years as the clerk and over thirty within the clerk's office.

Rhodes is the first attorney to hold the clerk's office in Pitt County.
