Bad Road Conditions Contribute to Fatal Accident

Two Eastern Carolina women died this weekend during a domino effect of accidents on an icy patch of roadway. Casseta Walters of Greenville and Sonia Picott of Chocowinity died in the crashes.

The Highway Patrol says a car spun out on Highway 264 near Highway 42 in Wilson just after midnight Sunday morning. Two vehicles then each hit the car that spun out, but one of the collisions was head on.
