Identity Theft Costs One Car Dealership $100,000

There’s $100,000 bought on your credit. The only problem is that you didn't buy anything. That's another consequence of identity theft, and one such case in Greenville this week.

According to police, a man using a false identity bought two cars worth nearly $100,000 from the Kia of Greenville. But Kia officials say that the man had all the relevant and personal information correct, and they say they did everything under the law to catch the problem.

Greenville police are still investigating and did confirm that there are allegations that this thief has used this identity in other cities across Eastern Carolina.
